There are so many people dedicated to helping us see the big picture of what is going on in our world. We all have to live life with blinders in order to survive. Sometimes we can not see what is right in front of our face. Yes, life is complicated and filled with so much information. We have to weed out unimportant 'stuff' that just clouds our mind. The problem is if we are taught to close our mind before understanding how to filter life, we miss very important cues that would change our world.
If we are taught that we can not affect our world and that we have to leave everything up to the experts, we give away our power. If we are taught that people who question and stand up against accepted viewpoints are marginalized and suffer, we hide our head in the sand. If we are taught that Life is too complicated and there is nothing we can do except survive our day to day lives, we become powerless and hopeless with national and world issues. The result is a shift in our focus to the small world which we create. From the distance we casually browse the overall status of the larger community. It's time to open our mind again and see what is really going on. Life has to change and it starts with each of us. We do have that power.
